Prabhas and Nag Ashwin’s Kalki has hit the theaters and is reporting decent revenues in the major circuits. But the producers of the film, lead by Swapna Dutt have quoted that the film wasn’t made for the sake of records.
It’s very amazing that people are calling or asking, did we cross records? It’s hilarious because guys who create or created those records never make films for the records. We make for the audience. We make for the love of cinema. We did the same, Swapna tweeted out a short while ago as she made her intentions clear that Kalki isn’t entirely directed at box office records.
The film was essentially mounted on a lavish scale by Vyjyanthi with Swapna and Priyanka Dutt carrying the production responsibilities.
