Bharateeyudu is still regarded as one of the greatest works of maverick director Shankar. The social drama is one of the very best films of this genre. Now, the sequel of the film is gearing up for release soon and the promotions have commenced already.
The trailer for Bharateeyudu 2 was unveiled a few minutes ago and it gives a sneak peek of what is to come.
Shockingly, main character Kamal Haasan’s entry itself comes 1 minute after the start so the opening exchanges don’t have the desired impact with the main man himself missing.
Shankar appears to be coming up with a modernized version of his cult blockbuster Bharateeyudu and in the process, has lost the desired impact.
The trailer implies that this film is an intense social drama with a plot similar to the original. But the lack of social hook points and dull BGM from Anirudh haven’t worked one bit in favor of the trailer.
Shankar has to come up with something big in the film to deliver the goods and this is going to be a challenge for him.
