Prabhas has developed a new trend in Tollywood now as he has started to ignore the promotional events of his films almost completely. It all started with Salaar when Prabhas and the team ignore the media meets and held one minor interview of sorts and that is about it.
Prabhas is continuing the same tradition with Kalki now as he has completed the name-sake promotions with a single event in Mumbai. The team isn’t even meeting a single media outlet in the Telugu states and there is no event in the local market either.
Regardless of the low-key promotions, Kalki has started to trend big time with regard to the advance bookings and this is entirely thanks to the mass crowd pull capacity of Prabhas.
But the trend of ignoring the Telugu media completely might backfire sooner or later, as the media is the one that carries a film on its shoulders.
