It is known that just a couple of days ago, the shocking murder of Telugu origin student Gopal Krishna, a native of Bapatla shook the Telugu community in the US. He was shot and killed at a convenience store in Dallas.
Now, the main suspect in the case has been identified and arrested by the US police and here is a look into the same.
21-year-old Davonta Mathis is the man accused of murdering the Telugu student. Mathis was caught on CCTV entering the store and approached Dasari at the counter, firing multiple shots that critically injured him.
Reports indicate that Mathis then stole items from the store before fleeing the scene. Witnesses described hearing gunshots and the chaotic moments that followed, with some expressing shock and disbelief at the violence unfolding before them.
The suspect has been arrested and he is in police custody now.
